We spent the weekend in London and on Saturday went to Borough market, a market whose history dates back to the 1700's and know as Londons Larder ! Had a great shooting day and just couldn't decide on a favorite Which is yours ?
Todays Theme is experimental So I decided to have a crack at snapping drips of water. I managed to get a well placed drip and using manual setting focused on a pencil to start and then snapped away trying my flash on a number of setting and angles until I got the desired amount of light. Here is a couple of the best ones. although it wasn't till after I'd packed up to review my shots I found I wasnt quite focused on where I needed to be to get the crown effect. Next time I review my work more thoroughly before packing up .
Ok first I need to let you know where I've been, MY Pc died last week and worst of all i had a hard drive failure and I lost 150gb of photos from the last 5 years so between sulking and moaning I did take some pictures each day but it didn't lift my spirits much. so 365ers what have we learned from this BACK UP your photos !!! Still enjoy these ! We spent most of the weekend at Papermill Lock We went to a birthday Party on friday Night and then went back Saturday to pick up the car and as the weather was nice went down again Sunday to walk along the River. The Earlier Part of the week was dedicated to the robins, the chick are getting big now so hopefully will be around when they fly the nest !
Well I hope this doesn't bore you but I think I will do a Robin Week, I love snapping these cute little guys and I'm going to take advantage whilst they are about.
I set up my camera on my gorilla pod wrapped around a beam in the shed and then using my remote set 30 shot with a 5 second interval. Everytime I saw a visitor I'd sneak over and pressed the button I got about 200 snaps but this was one of the best ! unfortuatly i didnt get the one of mum or dad actually feeding the chicks but I still have about a week to nail it so will try again tomorrow.
Spent the weekend in the garden with the robins, I didn't have a chance to post saturdays, The chicks have been born but I'm yet to capture the chicks this is Mrs Robin. Caught this with my telephoto lens. From the just outside the shed.
I borrowed iDavids 50mm lens and now I want one too , this was one of my favorite shots, I added a highpass overlay and chose the soft light setting which really brough out the blue.
This is Wednsdays Picture , Late posting , got in late from work and didn't even get the memory card out of my camera... Used autobracketing to create the HDr then ran it through HDR dynamic.. great HDR software in my book ! Still couldn't decide between the colour and monchrome, you decide :¬)
2 images today I was feeling uninspired but decided to have a play with my flash and see what I could do, after I bit of playing I decided on these 2. whilst the first is a little over exposed I loved the way it created a feeling of emptiness around the figurines. I tweaked it a little in photshop to bring more contrast . The second one I like the symmetry, I might do a series of these create a montage.
Out in the garden again today, fortunatly had the camera at the ready and snapped this little chap. Added a hiphpass overlay to really make him pop !¬)
I'm overjoyed, Whilst not the best shot in the world I didn't want to disturb my new lodger in my shed, and wanted to share this with you. The Robins nested here last year and there back.
I was playing for ages with different items, food, the carpet, Sandpaper, then I spotted my bhudda in the front room and grabbed a few snaps and bingo got my photo for the day !
a day lat in publishing it been hell getting back into the routine since my ski trip and catch up.I was snapping in the garden and liked this the best sorry i don't know the name but loved the lush colour. what do you think ?
Heres a Friendly little Chap fro twitter Tuesday ! http://tasramar.com/2010/03/share-your-images-on-tasra365-twitter-tuesday/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
I stubbled upon this by accident my panormic software scanned the shots I took of Tanith riding her board and made them into a panoramic, Really pleased with the result, will try to apply this to some other subject matter in the future.
Welcome to Nendaz in Switzerland, this beatiful village is now becoming more popular and unfortunatly attracting big contruction firms to build luxury apartments, A year ago none of this construction existed. Sstill, I couldnt resist taking panoramic shots and was pleased with the results, Love the clouds, shame I couldnt post bigger due to restrictions within the blog webpage :¬(
Just got back from 10 days snowboarding,Here Lake Geneva, taken from the train on route to the resort, this was one of those gem snaps that turned out great !
